Dr Barun Ghosh (Dr Baz)

Dr Baz is an extremely enthusiastic and passionate family dentist. With his genuine caring nature and cheery outward personality, Baz likes to spend time getting to know the human being attached to the mouth he is treating! He has a special interest in treating nervous patients and helping people overcome their fear of the dentist. If you are apprehensive when it comes to dentists, book a consultation with Dr Baz!

Baz and his wife (Nirosha) are outdoorsy kind of people. When they are not travelling, they enjoy  cycling, a hit of tennis and enjoying all the wonderful things the leafy green Yarra Valley has to offer with their little doggy Ollie! They love meeting people and getting involved in the community.

Baz is a highly skilled dentist with over 13 years of experience and has worked in both metropolitan and regional areas across South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria. Originally from Victoria, he completed his dental degree with concurrent honours in Adelaide where he was awarded a research scholarship. Through further study at the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, he has been admitted via examination as a Member and Fellow of the College. Since then, He has taken on the role as a clinical mentor for dentists at one of the largest dental service providers in Australia providing all types of dental and oral surgical procedures throughout various clinics and hospitals. 

Baz enjoys every facet of dentistry. His commitment to continuing education and participation in his professional associations has allowed him to obtain an advanced level of clinical competency in many fields. His greatest passions are creating beautiful smiles, replacing teeth and removing impacted wisdom teeth. He feels great fulfilment in being able to replace teeth with dental implants so that his patients may continue to eat, speak, smile and laugh like they used to.

Baz likes to ensure his patient’s leave with a complete understanding of their dental health. He achieves this by simplifying dental concepts in a way, easy for patients to understand. 

Dr Nirosha Ghosh

Dr Nirosha understands the importance of empathy, patience and building trusting relationships as keys to instilling confidence for her patients. She is a gentle soul and prides herself on making every visit as comfortable as humanly possible for her patients. She has been servicing patients in the Yarra Valley for the past 11 years and has grown to call this part of the world her home. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, including children.

Outside of dentistry, Nirosha likes to spend time with her family and explore her creative side. She is an avid drawer and enjoys working on her collection of indoor plants. Her husband often likes to remind her that she is quite the crazy plant lady! Nirosha is also keen to have a hit on the tennis court and cycling with her husband.

Born and raised in Melbourne, Nirosha completed her dental degree from the University of Adelaide in 2010. She then went on to pursue 2 years of further training and through examination, attained her Membership to the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons.

Dr Nirosha has undertaken even further extensive comprehensive training through internationally recognised institutions enabling her to provide the treatment to assist in the development of beautiful and natural smiles. Dr Nirosha is able to deliver high quality outcomes for her patients with care, compassion, and a gentle touch.

Nirosha has worked in the public and privates sectors in regional Victoria, inner city and metropolitan Melbourne before settling into the Yarra Valley. Nirosha & Baz have fallen in love with the tranquility that the Yarra Valley offers. They were both certain that it would be a wonderful place to start their family practice.

One of Dr Nirosha’s passions is orthodontic treatment. She has undertaken extensive orthodontic training through the Progressive Orthodontics Seminars, a comprehensive training program enabling her to provide the treatment of braces to assist in the development of beautiful and natural smiles. With over 10 years of experience, she is able to deliver high quality outcomes for her patients with care, compassion, and a gentle touch.

Nirosha has worked in the public and privates sectors in regional victoria, inner city and metropolitan Melbourne before settling into the Yarra Valley. Nirosha & Baz have fallen in love with the tranquility that the Yarra Valley offers. They were both certain that it would be a wonderful place to start their family practice.

Dr Diane Jacobs

Dental Surgeon

Dr Diane Jacobs graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014. Hailing from the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Diane has worked in private practice in Byron Bay and metro Melbourne for the past 10 years. 

Diane brings a calm and gentle touch to dentistry, ensuring her patients are always as relaxed and comfortable as possible. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and is passionate about educating people about the importance of oral health. She has a particular interest in paediatric and aesthetic dentistry, and is comitted to advancing her skills and knowledge through continual education. 

Away from dentistry, Diane is an avid baker and cake decorator. She enjoys the creativity and precision required for cake decoration, and loves being able to use her hand skills to make people smile through cake. Whether it be sculpting fondant or perfecting her buttercream, Diane approaches the task with the same level of dedication and attention to detail that she brings to her work as a Dentist. 

Diane also loves pilates, swimming, cycling and cheering on the mighty Dees! On weekends you’ll find her playing netball for the Wandin Football Netball Club, and exploring the Yarra Valley with her family and their Westie pup, Teddy.

Dr Janet Lu

Dr Janet is a cheerful and passionate dentist. She enjoys getting to know her patients and having a good chat. You’ll often find her laughing and joking with her patients. Janet focuses on preventative dentistry, where she believes prevention is better than intervention.

Janet graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Since graduation, she has worked in both Melbourne and regional Victoria. Prior to working at Evergreen Dental Care, she had moved to regional Victoria and looked after the local community within the Gippsland region. Janet is passionate in all areas of dentistry, and loves restoring a patient’s smile and confidence.

Outside of dentistry, Janet spends her time swimming, playing the piano and going for walks. She is also a big foodie and enjoys going to festivals and trying new restaurants within Melbourne. She loves her music and when she’s in a good mood, you’ll hear her humming and singing to her songs!

Dr Amaan Mohammed

BSc(Melb), DMD (Syd)

Dr Amaan Mohammed was born and raised in Victoria. After completing his Bachelor of Science, majoring in human physiology, he moved interstate to study dentistry at the University of Sydney graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).

Amaan enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a true passion for educating his patients about not only their oral health but also their general health and well-being. Amaan is a firm believer in keeping up to date with the latest developments and dental research and often travels interstate to attend professional development courses. His favourite aspects of dentistry are building back broken down teeth and oral surgery. He prides himself on his attention to detail and goes out of his way to make even very complex procedures both painless and comfortable.

He has practiced in both public and private sectors in both rural and metropolitan areas, giving him a broad breadth of experience. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys reading, cooking and gardening.
